About Us
Hire-Up has established itself in Wellington, in a niche market of access hire through the utilization of truck-mounted mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) since 1993. Our mix of truck-mounted MEWPs are uniquely suited to Wellingtons hilly streets and narrow access-ways (through adjustable turntables and narrow jacking). Our trained operators assist in creating a safe environment when working at height in a wide range of applications.
Hire-up was established in 1993 by Kerry Moses, who at Christmas of 1992 was facing redundancy from Chep Hire Towers. Despite advise from both lending professionals and accountants not to pursue the opportunity of purchasing a 25mtr machine. Kerry went ahead anyway under the strong belief that with his back ground in the rental industry, road transport and automotive refinishing and a strong desire to succeed that it was going to be a business that would succeed.
Over 22 years on, the business has moved from sole trading to partnership to limited liability. It has 5 full time staff with safety and presentation being two of the main themes in the company.
Hire-ups direction has not changed in that it provides a wet hire solution, to get you the customer in the position to do your thing, in the safest and most cost effective way they know how.
